Throughout the Bible, God is called by many names, and each one reveals something about who he is — his power, his provision, his nearness, his peace. Ezekiel 48:35 →Why the names of God matter
In Scripture, a name is more than a label — it tells you something true about the one who bears it. To learn that God is Jehovah Jireh (“the LORD will provide”) or Jehovah Shalom (“the LORD is peace”) is to learn how he meets his people. Many of these names first appear at a moment of need, given by someone who had just seen God act.
